Dr. W. Davey Crockett received his D.D.S. from The Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1976. He then opened a private practice in the Richmond area and was an adjunct faculty member at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry for the next six years.
After that, while maintaining a full time private practice, he focused on advancing his training in comprehensive dentistry which included advanced restorative dentistry, endodontics, implants, TMD-TMJ, and cosmetic dentistry.
In the 80’s, Dr. W. Davey Crockett; working with his father, a 40 year career professor at the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, pioneered and developed much of what is known as cosmetic dentistry today. Dr. Crockett worked on developing the initial porcelain veneer techniques and has delivered over 8000 bonded porcelain restorations to date.
Dr. W. Davey Crockett has been regularly recognized as one of the “Best Dentists” by his peers in Richmond Magazine and has received recognition from national organizations. He is a member of numerous dental professional organizations including the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Richmond Dental Society, and the Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Davey Crockett is one of a limited number of dentists who has advanced training in multiple areas of dentistry giving him the ability to diagnose and treat dental cases from the most routine to the very complex in a single dental practice.
Dr. Crockett treats a state and local clientele, successfully restoring their esthetic, functional, oral health and smiles one patient at a time.
Dr. Joseph Bousaba grew up in North Carolina and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following college, he moved to Boston to attend dental school at Boston University. Dr. Bousaba also completed a General Practice Residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he obtained additional training in general dentistry, oral surgery, and dental trauma. Dr. Bousaba went on to practice general dentistry in Denver, Colorado for four and half years and took full advantage of the beautiful Colorado landscape.
Dr. Bousaba takes between 100 and 150 hours of continuing education every year. He travels all over the country to continue to grow and learn as the field of dentistry is constantly changing with new techniques and technologies.
He is committed to giving back to the community through volunteering and loves to share knowledge with his patients and peers. While in Colorado, Dr. Bousaba was an adjunct faculty member at the Community College of Denver and worked with dental hygiene students both clinically and didactically.
In his spare time, Dr. Bousaba enjoys spending time with his wife, Cayla, and their golden retriever, Carter. Together they enjoy hiking, skiing, gardening, and anything that involves the outdoors. They are excited to be in Richmond and enjoy exploring the amazing neighborhoods and restaurants within the city.
